We’ve got a packed June coming up with an appearance at The Litten Tree in Bournemouth in aid of the Amelia Grace Foundation; our long awaited debut at the Thomas Tripp in Christchurch and an equally long waited return to The Cranbourne Club:

Gig Updates

As you may have seen from our Facebook page, the Cranbourne Club gig this Saturday has unfortunately been called off due to external factors beyond our control.

Our next confirmed date at this point is our appearance at the Litten Tree Festival in Bournemouth on Sunday 9th June, where we’ll be on at 8pm.

We’ll keep you updated with any additional dates as we get them!

We’ve had to re-schedule a number of our upcoming gigs due to a band member falling ill but we’re now back up and running and can officially announce the following dates:

Saturday 11th May 2013 – The Cranbourne Club, Cranbourne @ 20:00
Sunday 9th June 2013 – Litten Tree, Bournemouth (Time T.B.C.)
Saturday 15th June 2013 – Thomas Tripp, Christchurch @ 20:00

New 2013 Dates

Well, 2013 certainly isn’t hanging around: almost April already! We’re working on a few dates at the moment but we can confirm two upcoming gigs right now!

Firstly, Deezul will be playing at the
Thomas Tripp, Christchurch on Friday 12th April. This is a superb music-orientated venue and we’re really pleased to be taking to the stage here. Expect our usual blend of modern alternative rock, classic punk and a few crowd favourites from around 8pm onwards.

Approximately one month later on Saturday 11th May, we’ll playing at the more intimate – but no less noteworthy – The Bell in Wimbourne. It’s been a while since we’ve been out Wimbourne way and we’re sure looking forward to it!

So, two more dates for the diary – hope to see you there!

Deezul Live @ O’Neill’s

Well, what a cracking day Saturday was! We had the proud honour of opening O’Neill’s Winchester’s Live Music Marathon: 2-days of live music all in aid of two well deserving local charities.

And so it was, at about 2:30 in the afternoon, that we woke up Winchester with 45 minutes of alternative rock and punk tracks, culminating in one of our new favourites: 20th Century Boy.

It’s good to be back.

Hot off the press, this one, and no time to lose!

This weekend, O’Neill’s in Winchester is hosting two days of music in aid of two very good causes: The Wessex Cancer Trust and Naomi House. Deezul are proud to be able to step in to cover a slot that’s opened up at the last minute. So, with just a few days to go, we can officially announce our first gig of 2013 and, also, the first gig with our new 4-piece line up:

New Year, New Deezul …

Wow, it’s been a while since our last update, hey?! Well, all has definitely not been quiet in the Deezul camp! Whilst 2012 was a relatively low-key year for us, we’ve certainly learned a lot and grown closer as a band. If you’ve been following our Facebook page you’ll probably know that we’ve had Andy, our new front-man, on board since late last year and as we move into 2013 the band is raring to go.

As always, we’re not going to be happy delivering anything less than a 100% performance for our first gig of the year so we’re putting the final touches to our revised set-list as we speak. They’ll be a few old favourites, of course, but importantly a significant number of new tracks that we’re very excited about as well.

So, as Jan rolls into Feb, we’ll be ready to rock and looking forward to getting back out there in late Feb / early March. Watch this space for details and see you there!

Demo Online!

Okay – the final mixing is done and the new demo tracks are now up online. Check them out at www.deezul.co.uk in the audio player on the right hand side!

We’ve taken four of our favourite tracks – which we reckon give a pretty good representation of what we’re all about – and recorded brand new vocals from Alex. We even managed to get both Neil and Jez (!) in on some backing vocals!

Now that’s sorted, we’ll be back out talking to pubs and clubs to arrange our first gigs for 2012 – watch this space …
